I watched the finale a couple of days ago, and I’ve been thinking about the impact the show has really had in my life. The reason I thought the show was so brilliant was the fact that they were always able to up hold the utopian view of the suburbs while still creating the drama we can all relate to. Sure the show sometimes had its obviously over the top incidences, but it told a very good story around the basic notion that everyone has secrets.
No matter how well we think we know our friends, families, neighbors, etc, we will never know everything there is to know. You could even say that secrets are what keep us together. It sure was the case in Desperate Housewives. Secrets are a two edged sword. They forge a bond, but can also break one. Yet, another interesting concept.
Lastly, the show was really good at illustrating the fact that secrets always have a way of getting out. For better or for worse, why keep secrets? Then again, is it possible to not have secrets?
“Even the most desperate life is oh so wonderful. But only a lucky few realize the gift they’ve been given. Most people just go on day after day, trying in vain to keep secrets that will never stay hidden.” - Mary Alice

fake adj designed to cheat or deceive; not real; counterfeit
This morning, I spent a good amount of time searching what the meaning of this word is according to general consensus. In the real world, everyone is fake to some extent, but everyone has a different way of expressing their fake-ness as well as evaluating others’ fake-ness. There really wasn’t a perfect definition that I could find, but I did get 3 major characteristics of someone who I deem as fake:
L M F A O.
